Bonjour tout le monde 🙂 I decided that I will be dedicating today’s posts to beautiful French products and will kick right of with Mini Labo‘s fabulous items. They produce beautifully printed pillows, cuddly soft toys (or doudous, as the French call them), screenprinted posters, wall decals and even bags, badges and notebooks! The wonderful Mini Labo style includes ornate flower and bird prints with a vintage feel, but they also have signature fawn and dog designs among others.

Take a look at their notebooks and bags, so many beautiful designs to choose from.

Aren’t Mini Labo’s soft toys just beautiful? So colorful and cute, they include a whole range, whose creation was partly inspired by Alice in Wonderland (from top left to bottom right): le lapin d’Avril (the April rabbit), le chat sourit (the smiling cat), love cat, Simon and le nouveau lapin d’Avril (the new April rabbit)
.

But Mini Labo also has beautiful pillows, the ‘il y a un arbre’ (there’s a tree) cushion is my favorite:

And last but not least, Mini Labo’s beautiful wall stickers, wouldn’t they look great in combination with the Roost birdcage lamp I blogged about earlier?

The whole collection is available at Mes habits chéris, one of the few French onlineshops with an English website. All of the doudous, except for the Simon the bear, can also be bought at Ahbookids.

Lief! modern Dutch design with a traditional twist

Lief! (Dutch for sweet) is a relatively new Dutch brand that is becoming increasingly popular. Considering their clean modern designs, which are inspired by traditional symbols such as clogs or windmills, this is really not surprising. The combination is simply great, as all Lief! designs are simply beautiful. They offer a wide variety of products, for example clothes, nursery decor and toys. All items are made in a wonderful style, unique to Lief! Here is a small selection:

Fortunately, even if you are nowhere near the Netherlands to visit one of their stores, they also have a webshop , which also accepts credit cards, something quite unusual I have come to notice, as most Dutch shops I have surfed so far only accept payment via the Dutch iDeal platform. Unfortunately though, I cannot find an Engish version of the site. But as there is not much text to read, I assume you will do just fine, and otherwise you can always access Lief! via the google translator. E.g. quilt € 99.95, coat hanger € 17.95, night light € 5.95. Currently, they also have several nice items on sale, up to 70% off!

Cuteness packed into crochet and polka dots: Franck & Fischer

We continue our Danish tour by moving further along to Franck & Fischer‘s adorable creations.  The company was founded in 2004 by fashion designer Annemarie Franck and businesswoman Charlotte Fischer.  Due to their wonderful child-friendly designs, inspired by vintage images and childhood-memories, in addition to the fair-trade production Franck and Fischer uses, the company has been able to estalish a wide reputation in such a short period of time.  Among others, the product range includes soft toys, bags and pillows.

And now, before I rattle on even further, just take a look, because you really have to see these charming faces.  They do create vintage and child-hood souvenir items to perfection, don’t they?  Just so precious and absolutely adorable, each and every one of them!

Available at Scandezign, e.g. crochet rattle$23.00.

OK, I admit, the following post is less oriented towards children, than towards their parents.  But hey, you can’t help yourself sometimes, if you see something particularly beautiful.  And with fathersday just around the corner, a little inspiration is always welcome, I suppose.

So let’s talk about TJ and Co, an American jewelry-maker who specializes in personalized jewelry, but not the cheesy kind you find so often, their line embodies timeless, classy chic with a modern twist.  Have I already mentioned that their whole collection is scrumptious (of course in a figurative way LOL).  They have beautiful silver items with engraving or sealed and framed black&white photos.  Here are some items moms and dads will be drooling over:

And look at this little keepsake box.  Just the perfect, timeless little treasure to keep those precious memories of your little ones in.  Of course my post wouldn’t be entirely off-topic! 😉  And they also have an ID bracelet for kids.

Check out TJ’s online shop. Bracelet $250.00, cuff links $125.00 keepsake box $130.00

Colorful, patterned cuteness with a retro feel: Pakhuis Oost

For a while now I’ve been thinking about a fitting daily topic that I can introduce Pakhuis Oost to you.  The difficult thing is, ALL their stuff is gorgeous, which makes it really hard to decide under which heading to put them.  But I guess i’ll be blogging about some other of their products sometime soon.  Anyway, I thought today was the perfect day to talk about Pakhuis after I’ve been focusing on a more clean, modern appearance, rather suitable for boys or teens in the last two days.  So finally, I decided it’s time again to add some playful cuteness, mixed with bold colors and great style, just anything a typical girly-girl or just any kid in general, can relate to.

A little background info: Pakhuis Oost is a Dutch company founded in 1995, whose motto is joyful living and creating happiness with its  children’s products.   And it really shows!  They have a wide product range franging from toys to lighting, coathangers, tableware and beyond.  Take a look:

Unfortunately, Pakhuis Oost does not have an online store on its website, and searching for non-Dutch retailers was a bit difficult.  However, I have found two webstores that have quite a nice collection of their items.  Check out Rose and Radish and The Cherry On The Cake
