Today is all about color, lots of color, and some groovy design, that catapults you right back into the 60s and 70s. Here they are, the colorful mugs, plates and the whole shebang of Jackie Shapiro’s French Bull tableware:
All items are made of high quality melamine that is dishwasher and heat safe and will neither fade, chip nor discolor. So you can be sure these items will continue to look brandnew, so you can enjoy the great designs for a long time. And of course that makes sense, because not only are their designs so much more appealing than the standard Disney character tableware, of which you grow tired aleady right after purchasing, but you can even get your own set of French Bull wares, too! Now that promises to be a great, colorful picknick and barbecue season!
Check out Cocoa Crayon for the collection, e.g. printed bowl $7, kids set $22, Cup $6, discontinued items are 20% off.
Next in line is the Mozzee Nest, a great piece of contemporary interior design that has started the trend of modern high chairs. It was designed by Australian Sally Dominguez, who was in search of baby furniture that would blend in seemlessly with her modern style home.
But the Mozzee Nest is more than just a beautiful accessory. Of course it meets the safety requirement, and has some nice additional features. Such as converting the seat into the Nester lounge chair suitable for children up to 6 years of age. Moreover, the chair is made of durable quality materials, such as powder coated steel and UV stabilised polyethylene. The minimalist design is not just beautiful, but harmonizes well with the removable tray and holds the child firmly in place. Of course the chair can also easily be wiped clean. All combined, the Mozzee Nest is a beautiful piece of design, which excells in form as well as function. No wonder it was awarded the prestigious Australian Design Mark for safe and innovative design!

New week, new topic: owls. There is such a nice variety of children’s design depicting owls. I really don’t know why there is this focus, and why we don’t see more children’s items with, flamingos or lynxes, they are pretty, too. But in any case, there is some really adorable owl design available. And moving back to Scandinavia, in fact to be more specific, to a company named More of Scandinavia (now that’s telling isn’t it?), I want to present you some great looking tableware and anything else, a toddler needs to learn how to feed himself. As usual, the Swede’s got it right again, creating a design that is childfriendly, but not cheesy, and still classy and timeless.
Also, More of Scandinavia has a nice collection in general, not just for kids. So if you are looking to spice up the dining room with a bit of new crockery, check out their entire collection of modern flatware.
Available at Scandinavian Design Center, if you can only find the mug, select the other items out of the drop-down “choose between” menu. Mug and plate available in black, bib and place mat in each red and green.

The second great design find for today also comes from Sweden. Aren’t these stroller bags called ‘retro revolution’ and ‘cherry blossom birds’ just awesome? They are made by Elodie Details and feature not just great design, but true functionality as well, for example compatibility with a 5-point harness and a wind and water repellent nylon surface.
This hip brand also has some other chic design in store: For strolling in style, in the same cool retro revolution theme, you can also get also get baby bottles, binkies & clips. Plus, there are many other great styles available, such as this petit royal sippy cup below.
